OKTET Labs provides design and development services for embedded and networking systems software. The main OKTET clients are developers and manufacturers of various high-tech equipment: from high performance Ethernet adapters to avionics.

The company was established in 2003, but the core of the team dates back to 1996, implementing an ATM switch for one of big European telecommunication equipment vendors. Starting from that time the main development tools of the team are Linux OS and GNU toolkit, and the target systems are VxWorks, RTEMS and Embedded Linux occupying now most of the market.

The main OKTET Labs expertise is formed by telecom projects: IP routers and ATM switches software, IPv6 protocol implementation, SNMP agents, WiFi and ADSL support, etc. See few examples.

One of the core activities of OKTET Labs is the development of testing tools both for ensuring the quality of own development and for verification of the products of OKTET clients. OKTET Labs Test Environment allows creation of test suites for comprehensive automated verification of network devices, for every night regression testing and conformance checks.

Currently OKTET Labs employs 24 advanced software engineers.
